DDMA Leh to take stringent action against Covid curfew violators
Leh, May 10: Chairman, DDMA/ DC Leh, Shrikant Suse, today informed that stringent action would be taken against Covid curfew violators in Leh district. District Administration Leh had extended the weekend Covid curfew by another week starting May 10 till May 17. However, as per the order issued by the Chairman, DDMA Leh, essential items shops, including grocery, meat/chicken, milk and dairy product, vegetables and bakeries, were allowed to open every day from 8 AM till 1 PM shops.
Sharing that people are misusing the relaxation, the Chairman of DDMA Leh shared the movement of vehicles would not be allowed during the Covid curfew. He also appealed to the people for the compliance of Covid SOPs.
He further informed the mediapersons to seek feedback from the head of the departments regarding the roster prepared for the rotation of employees working in government offices.

Chairman, DDMA Leh, appealed to the people not to spread unwanted rumours and to buy groceries and essential items for their localities. He also shared that the objective behind the restriction is to control the exponential increase in Covid-19 cases in the district. He added that the restriction would help the infrastructure and employees of the Health Department get a much-needed break.
Chairman, DDMA Leh, shared that essential supplies would be made available to people to far-off places and areas where shops selling essential supplies are not available. He added that DDMA Office would provide vehicle movement passes on a need basis, especially for emergencies.
