Leh, April 3: Secretary, Labour and Employment, UT Ladakh, Ravinder Dangi, today chaired a meeting to discuss the “Employment Fair” to be organised by UT Administration in Ladakh.

Secretary Ravinder shared the objective of organising the employment fair is to create jobs, awareness and provide skill development trainings to the unemployed youths of Ladakh. He also inquired about engaging locals in skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled labours in various departments and agencies of the UT Administration.

Representatives of the government departments and the president of the All Ladakh Hotel and Guest House Association and All Ladakh Tour Operators Association Leh apprised Secretary Ravinder of their ideas to include locals and submerge the locals to reduce the unemployment rate.

Secretary Ravinder directed the concerned officials to collect data on the current status of the engagement of locals in various sectors and submit proposals for engaging people with the required skill set. He impressed upon the officials that the department and agencies should expedite their work and submit the said proposals at the earliest.
