KARGIL, APRIL 04, 2021: Director Industries and Commerce Ladakh Moses Kunzang visited the Fruit Growers Cooperative Society of Cooperatives Department Kargil at Kharul Thang here today.

The visit was aimed to explore possibilities for large scale processing of apricot through the cooperative society in order to meet the increasing demand in the market.

The Director inquired from the concerned officers about the overall functioning and present scale of apricot processing through the society. He stressed for optimum utilization of available land for infrastructure development for extensive processing of apricot fruit and packaging of apricot oil.

General Manager DIC Kargil Iftikhar Ahmad,Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies Kargil Dr Zakir Hussain, Architecture Javed Akbar besides members of Apricot Growers Society Kargil accompanied the Director during the tour.
