DC Leh Reviews Draft Capex budget for 2021-22
Leh, April 07: Deputy Commissioner/ CEO, LAHDC, Leh Shrikant Suse today convened a meeting to review the progress, both physically and financially, of various works undertaken by the departments under the different schemes and the annual CAPEX budget 2020-2021 and to deliberate upon the draft CAPEX budget of 2021-2022.
In the meeting, the concerned HoDs of various departments/sectors shared the budget outlays and the annual expenditures of their respective departments during the previous financial year 2020-2021 and also presented their department’s proposed estimates/outlays for the new financial year 2021-2022.
DC Leh Shrikant Suse took stock of the work done by the departments in the previous financial year. He impressed upon the officials to submit the liabilities under the languishing projects at the earliest. He also reviewed the new works proposed by the departments for the new financial year.

DC Leh also directed the officials to ensure optimum utilisation of the funds and complete the developmental works on time.
Several sectors registered more than 90% expenditure of their allotted budgets, including 92% in ITI, 94% in Employment, 97% in Polytechnic and 97% in Mechanical whereas few sectors registered expenditure between 60% to 85% such as 81% in Handloom, 68% in Local Bodies, 71% in Evaluation and Statistics, 79% in Higher Education, 62% in Soil Conservation, 67% in Roads and Buildings, 75% in Non-Functional Buildings (NFB), 85% in Flood Control, 62% in PHE and 69% in Minor Irrigation of their annual budget during the year 2020-2021.
The head of departments of various departments such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, Information, Labour, ITI, Motor Garages, Wildlife, Forest, Handloom, Tourism, Handicraft, Antiquities, Urban Local Bodies, Health, Higher Education, District Youth Service and Sports, District Social Welfare, IT, LREDA, Cooperatives, Education, Rural Development, Mechanical, PWD, PHE, ICDS, PDD, Command Area, Soil Conservation, Polytechnic, District Library attended the meeting.
