Leh, April 03: Chairman, District Water and Sanitation Management (DWSM), Leh, Shrikant Suse today chaired a meeting to review the progress of work under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the Leh district.

In the meeting, 19 DPRs of various villages were approved after detailed discussion including, Skitsal Agling, Tashi Gyatsal II, Skampuk, Tyakshi, Matho, Tia/Sogra, Skurbuchan, Kharyok Temisgam, Basgo, Likir, Hundri, Skuru, Terchey, Dipling, Umla, Tegar, Chamshen Charasa among others. 

Chairman DWSM exhorted the officials to uptake the process of geo-tagging of all the Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs) work done at the schools, anganwadi centres and households under the JJM at the earliest. He also directed the concerned officials for early completion of the remaining DPRs.

Chairman DWSM directed the Chief Education Officer, Leh to verify the work done by the PHE at various schools of Leh district under the JJM scheme and to submit a report of the same.

Earlier, District Superintending Engineer, PHE, Leh apprised the Chairman DWSM of the progress on various projects under JJM. Chief Planning Officer, Leh; Chief Education Officer, Leh; Xen, PHE, Leh and officials from forest and agriculture department were also present during the meeting.
