KARGIL, MARCH 14, 2021: On the recent Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Waseem Rizvi demanding the removal of 26 verses from the Holy Quran, the Anjuman Jamiat Ulema Isna Ashriya Kargil (AJUIAK) flayed the move here in a press conference today.

The press conference was chaired by President AJUIAK Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi while other elder clerics of the organization were also present.

“The betrayed Wasim Rizvi has claimed that the recent Quran is not the one that was revealed over the Holy Prophet Mohammad, but the Khulafa e Rashideen after Him had made addition in it”, said Sheikh Nazir.

“The Quran itself bears witness that nothing has been changed in it and neither in future anyone can change even a single word in the Quran.”

“The Quran further bear witness that it is a guide for mankind and there is no option to raise any doubt on it. The Wasim Rizvi, Salman Rushdi, and other people like them are puppets of satanic powers who play with their orders. They don’t belong to Islam”, maintained Sheikh Nazir.

“Shia scholars like Ayatollah Sistani and Ayatollah Khomeini both have condemned such claims and disrespect of Islamic values. Imam Khomeini has even passed a verdict that Salman Rushdi deserves death.”

“Islam protect the minorities and respect other religions and their values. Ayatollah Sistani has ordered for protection and respect of the Christian minority in Iraq. Even the Pope himself came to meet with the Grand Ayatollah. Thus, Islam doesn’t give even a single chance to disrespect other sects.”

Sheikh Nazir appealed to all the Muslims in Kargil irrespective of different sects to come out on coming Friday for a mass protest against this move.

He appealed to the Apex Court of the country to not consider this move and to detain Wasim Rizvi for igniting sectarian dispute in the country.

Pertinent to mention that Anjuman Imamia Leh while condemning the move of Wasim Rizvi has demanded the government to establish a committee to investigate and find out who is behind Wasim Razvi that are trying to demean Islam.
