DC Leh Takes Stock of Activities of Health Dept, RDD
Leh, March 8: Deputy Commissioner (DC)/CEO, LAHDC Leh, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse today reviewed the activities of the Health Department and Rural Development Department.
During his meeting with Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Leh, Dr Motup Dorje and Chief Planning Officer (CPO), Leh, Tsewang Gyaltson, DC Leh Shrikant Suse reviewed the district CAPEX budget, the need for the creation of posts for additional staff, the status of PHCs, CHCs and sub-district hospitals in Leh district. He stressed the need to have critical care ambulances, oxygen plants in areas like Nyoma and Durbuk, the construction of all-weather toilets, and streamlining a dedicated emergency helpline number for beneficiaries.
DC Leh exhorted the officials to provide telemedicine and tele-ICU facilities in all PHCs and conduct a timely inspection of private ultrasounds clinics in Leh. Earlier, CMO Dr Motup gave a detailed progress report on the functioning of the Health Department.
Later, DC Leh held a review meeting of the activities conducted by the Rural Development Department. District Panchayat Officer (DPO), Leh, Zakir Hussain gave a presentation on the physical and financial achievements of various components under the Swacch Baharat Abhiyan- Gramin (SBM-G), including the Common Sanitary Complexes (CSCs), the solid and liquid resource management (SLRM), and the 14th Finance Commission.
Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Leh, Sonam Nurboo, gave a presentation on the progress of works carried out by RDD under various schemes, including MGNREGA and Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G). He also informed DC Leh of the issues faced by RDD, including non-payment of salaries.
Post-review of District CAPEX budget, DC Leh impressed upon BDOs to submit the financial achievement report at the earliest.
