“I would also like to extend thanks to President and Executive Body of General Line Teachers Forum Kargil for their valuable suggestions and thorough support. A judicious policy has been adopted to effect zone-wise transfer with due regards for those who are nearing superannuation. Deviations have been made only in case of Surplus zones where number of teachers is more than the number of posts. All the efforts during this exercise have been towards adoption of a policy that would help the department to streamine the education system and help us transform it for the better, the letter maintained.
“With regards to the Council Model Schools (CMSs) being an initiative of the LAHDC Kargil, it was binding upon us to re-assure all the Village Education Committees of the CMSs across the district regarding transter of teachers from their respective schools. I have received multiple representations from VECs of Council Model Schools requesting against transfer of teachers from their schools. I would Iike to state that it was not possible to exclude teachers of the Council Model Schools from this exercise but at the same time I would like to assure them that due care has been taken to ensure quality teachers at the CMSs. The CEO Kargıl and his team have conscientiously and Judiciously carried out the exercise to ensure quality of education at all the schools.
“Here, I find it imperative to thank the UT Administration for posting of Principals to various Higher Secondaries of Kargil which will go a long way to smoothen the functioning of our schools. Moreover, with the induction of the newly recruited teachers am highly hopeful that positive changes would be visible in our schools.
“I would like to conclude by urging our teaching fraternity to put their best foot forward and help us transtorm the education system in our district. We all are aware of the fact that schools have been shut for the past one year first owing to the winter vacations of 2019 and then due to the COVID-19 situation, with the re-opening of the schools I would like to urge all the teachers to dedicatedly perform their duties and together, inshallah, we will take our district forward.
