Outgoing DC Kargil Accorded Warm Send off
KARGIL FEBRUARY 18, 2021: Outgoing Deputy Commissioner (DC)/ CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary was accorded a warm send off by the District Police, Kargil during a farewell function held at District Police Lines (DPL), Kargil on Wednesday evening.
Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan, SSP Kargil Anayat Ali Choudhary, Brigadier Commander 121 Infantry Brigade Vivek Bakshi, Additional DC Kargil Tsering Motup, Additional SP Kargil Iftikhar Talib Choudhary besides the officers of Police and Civil Administration were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the speakers including the CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan, SSP Kargil Anayat Ali Choudhary, ADC Tsering Motup, ASP Iftikhar Talib Choudhary and other speakers hailed the outgoing DCs contribution as an able administrator and team leader, his kind and considerate approach towards the public especially the poor and down trodden sections of the society and his positive and energetic approach towards providing good governance and effective implementation of different government schemes in the district.

The role of the outgoing DC for his noteworthy services in the district including the free and fair conduct of Parliamentary and BDC elections, free, fair and smooth conduct of the recruitment process in various departments, effective handling of the COVID-19 situation and successful COVID-19 mass awareness campaign, evacuation of stranded passengers and pilgrims and residents of Kargil from different parts of the country during the COVID-19 pandemic and other countless achievements were also highlighted by the speakers on the occasion.
The speakers also commended the leadership skills of the outgoing DC besides being humane, practical and decisive in the toughest situations.
In his address, the outgoing DC expressed his thankfulness to the CEC, LAHDC, Kargil and the officers of Police and Civil Administration for their proactive support and dedicated efforts in the smooth and successful execution of all assignments especially for successful free and fair of Parliamentary and DDC Elections, and handling the testing and challenging time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
While sharing his work experiences in the district during his 2 years tenure, the DC appreciated the courtesy, hospitality and welcoming behavior of the Kargilites and stated that he considers himself fortunate to have got the opportunity to serve the frontier district. He also urged the officers to work with missionary zeal, humane attitude and sincerity for welfare of the masses besides also making efforts for preservation of the rich multiethnic cultural ethos, age old communal harmony and unity which is an example of its own.
Meanwhile, folk artists of the Purgi, Balti and Shina Dardi ethnic tribes presented colorful group based and solo music and dance performances on the occasion.
Earlier, the Sarpanch Association, Kargil and staff of the DC Office Kargil also held farewell functions to accord warms end off to the outgoing DC.
