Leh, February 26, 2021: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Leh Shrikant Balasaheb Suse in a meeting with the officials of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) discussed providing a state of the art facelift to the district library in Leh under the corporate social responsibility (CSR) fund of PGCIL.

Chief Manager, PGCIL, Leh Sukhdev Singh; Executive Engineer, R&B, Leh Skalzang Dorjay and Senior Librarian, District Library, Leh Lobzang Tsewang were present in the meeting that was followed by a visit to the district library.

During the meeting, it was decided that a fully-digitised library equipped with the latest technologies such as computers and internet connectivity would be constructed in Leh district with funding from PGCIL.

With the recent announcement of opening a civil service examination (CSE) center in Leh district, DC Leh stressed the need for a library and reading rooms with all resource materials for students preparing for competitive examinations. DC Leh directed the concerned officials to take the necessary steps to complete the work at the earliest.
