Leh/ Feb 01: In a meeting that was convened by Commissioner Secretary, Tourism, Rigzin Samphel today at the Secretariat, it was informed that polo exhibition match would be one of the major attractions of the Ladakh Winter Conclave starting February 21.

Commissioner Secretary Samphel informed the officials that other than the polo exhibition match, there would also be a few cultural performances followed by lunch at the Thiksey monastery on the last day of the three-day Ladakh Winter Conclave.

Director Tourism, Ladakh; Assistant Director, Tourism, Leh and Kargil; Deputy Secretary of Culture, Leh and Kargil, Hotel Associations of Leh and Kargil districts, and ALTOA and AKKTA and other stakeholders were present during the meeting.

During the meeting, Commissioner Secretary Tourism directed Director Tourism, Kunzes Angmo and AD Tourism, Kargil, Syed Toha Mosavi to complete the process of booking tickets of guests when informed that the final list of guests has been prepared.

He also directed the concerned departments to expedite the tendering work of hotels for guests. He also inquired about the expression of interest (EoI) to engage consultants for tourism-related policies.

Commissioner Secretary Samphel also directed AD Tourism, Kargil to send all guests directly to Kargil from the KBR Airport, Leh and to ensure a comfortable stay for them at Kargil.
