Sankoo/  February 10, 2021: Brewing the bone chilling cold 42nd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution that toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime in Iran 1979 celebrated at Sankoo Sub Division of Kargil-Ladakh today.

On the night of 9th February 2021 Mosques, Imam Bargas and roof of residential houses lighted to commemorate the 42nd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

The celebration on 10th February mark the victory of the 1979 Islamic revolution led by Ayatullah Imam Khomeni (R.A) which put an end to the monarchical rule of the US backed Pahlavi regime.

This was also a day of paying tribute to those who sacrifice their lives during the revolution.The day of Imam Khomeini’s return to Iran from exile (Feb 1, 1979) marks the beginning of the Ten-Day Dawn in ceremonies which culminate with the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution on February 11, 1979.

In this connection an impressive rally and congregation were witnessed in Sankoo. This event was organized by Anjuman-e-Sahib Zaman Sankoo Kargil.

Around thousands of men, women and children participated in this congregational gathering.

The peoples were seen holding placard while chanting slogans that read Down with America, Down With Britain, Down with Israel, and shouting slogan in Urdu “Hum Rehberi Hum Merjei Khamenai Khamenai, Allah-hu-Akbar takber.

The people in rally were also holding portraits of Imam Khomeini (R.A) and voicing their continued support to the revolution.

Several rallies which come to starting from various village’s of Sankoo Tehsil early this morning reached at Mini Stadium Ground.

The impressive function began with holy quran, students of differents Maktabs were also participated and presented Taranas and lectures on topics regarding islamic revolution day (Youmullah).

The speakers on the occasion were Sheikh Sadiq Balagi chairman Anjuman-e-Sahib Zaman, Aga Syed Abass Rizvi and Abass Bahashti Secretary and Towhir Hussain Sagar Baseej-E-Baqiyatullah Secretary Anjuman-e-Sahib Zaman were also present on this occasion.

Speaking on the occasion Chairman Anjuman-e-Sahib Zaman Sankoo Sheikh Sadiq Balagi spoke on victory of the islamic revolution in Iran under the leader of Imam Khomini(R.A).

On the other side, Markaz-e-Tabliga Imam Raza Sankoo, Maktab-e-Hyderiya Lankerchey (Anjuman-e-Sahib Zaman), Anjuman-e-Enqalab  Mehdi in Taisuru, Purtikchay, Thangboo, Kargee, Tangole Barsoo, Trespone GM Pore Saliskot also conducted congregations on the occasion.
